You will be able to download ZIPPED audio test tones on this page.
Do NOT play these tones over your speakers! You could blow the tweeters and woofers by feeding speakers a tone at a single frequency. Speakers are intended to play a broad range of frequencies, not just a single tone.
The purpose of these tones is to test amplifiers into a dummy load (resistor) and preamplifiers, as well as tape recorders and CDRs.
With that in mind, here are the tones...all recorded from a Tektronix FG501 function generator directly into a CDR recorder. The frequencies indicated are those that were displayed on the instrument, and are approximate only. Level is approx -6 dB and these are in stereo.
All files are about 10 MB. These are high quality 1 minute .wav files. It can be about a 30 second to 1.5 minute high-speed download for each tone, but I figured long tones would be more useful.

ZIP File: Sine wave, 600 Hz, 1 Minute, WAV file (shown above)
ZIP File: Sine wave, 1 KHz, 1 Minute, WAV file (shown above)
ZIP File: Sine wave, 15 KHz, 1 Minute, WAV file (shown above)
ZIP File: Sine wave, 20 KHz, 1 Minute, WAV file (shown above)
ZIP File: Square wave, 1 KHz, 1 Minute, WAV file (shown above)
Note that this is not perfectly square. This is do the limitations of the CD recording frequency, as a perfect square wave would contain information higher than the CD standard can record (higher than 22.1KHz). So you get some waves, or "ringing" within the square wave. Still useful for testing.
